Come on @nytimes.com spelling bee! Don’t you think your readers know this since COVID? You allow much more obscure words. We need more science in every day conversation, not less. 1 benefit of including words people don’t know is that they’ll look them up. That’s one reason I enjoy your word games

I think @nytimes.com Spelling Bee needs some Bio101. It also rejects intron, allele (and derivations), and actin. At least it has gene.

For the life science papers, this title structure seems more consistent with review articles or perspectives rather than research articles. Note that the authors of the study didn't take article type into account (but kudos to them for stating the limitations!).
