Despite the formal withdrawal of its marketing authorisation nearly two decades ago, co-proxamol prescribing persists, with tragic results.

Direct Oral Anticoagulants (like apixaban, rivaroxaban etc) are widely used for stroke prevention in AF and treating clots.

They’re clinically similar, but vary a lot in price. NHS recommends using the best value ones.
