I think that's a tough sell when the reason for digging in for the shutdown in the first place was to prevent people being killed by lack of access to healthcare, which will now happen.

It's just deflating because it makes this whole thing pointless. They finally took a stand and Americans were widely supportive of it, and now they're just saying no nevermind you get nothing.
