I have often thought that the first question any self-respecting journalist should ask of the interviewee, especially where the issue of wages are involved is: "how much are you paid." eg. when Tice is moaning about minimum pay for young people: "How much do you earn?"

Sometimes watch the awful BBC Newswatch. Viewers offer criticisms on BBC news and a member of the news production team is invited to comment. That person talks down to the viewers, is patronising and never once have I heard them concede that their presentation might be less than perfect.
