Jelly Roll & Bunnie Xo Go to Prom for the First Time Ever, Thanks to 17-Year-Old Daughter: ‘She Crowned Us King & Queen’

The teenager made sure her parents got the full high school experience they never had.

When I was in college I helped found and run a campus music venue. Occasionally they let me design (terrible) posters for them, including this one that @themountaingoats.bsky.social were kind enough to sign.

Oversized single-purpose kitchen items are one of my biggest pet peeves. This IG ad keeps popping up and it infuriates me.

RIP. Great in lots of character parts, but the role I'll remember him for is as an anti-AI resistance leader in Albert Pyun's NEMESIS.

Oh this is so fucking stupid.

"I gave you a savings bond"-ass nonsense.

These people need to be taxed into a low eight digit net worth.

Congratulations to Pitchfork's staff for getting one final troll job in on the way out the door. This is one of the best albums of the year, and naming it #1 is a tremendous celebration of Art Music and a middle finger to the Conde execs who want Pitchfork to be a more mainstream music publication.

Sort of buried deep in the Criterion Channel December lineup but if you've never seen KAILI BLUES or LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT they're wonderful. A truly hypnotic filmmaker who fills his frames with images that haunt you.

I ordered a rather sizable grocery delivery from Amazon (I know...) last night and most of the groceries ended up on my doormat, but for some reason they made a special effort to put my Diamond Crystal salt on the haunted murder stairs near the recycling bins.

The tenor of American life is priming my brain for thinking conspiratorially so when I read this I go-- why didn't we talk more about the fact that Trump's first wife died from falling down a flight of stairs

A little late to post but this is a Thai tea Basque cheesecake I made for Thanksgiving. It was very good and very autumnal— Thai tea has a lot of spices we associate with the fall like cardamom and star anise.

Watching THE THIN RED LINE in the same year that SAVING PRIVATE RYAN was released was such a mindfuck for fourteen-year-old me. Movies could look and feel like this? They could tell stories this way? They could explore themes like this?

It changed my life.
