Don't get me wrong, I think AI is an amazing development, and I use it daily at work like a smart assistant, who does all the grunt work while I check and approve what they are doing. Often they get it totally wrong, and you have to be able to spot the mistakes. I use it for coding, it's awesome.

I went to school in an era when pocket calculators were just appearing on the scene. We were told that until we had enough knowledge and understanding, to question the results on the calculator, we should not be allowed to use them. Should be the same with AI...

My career path was starting in engineering, but realising that software could dramatically improve our productivity. Learnt how to code, because the engineering software we used was so bad, ended up working for the software house re-engineering the shitty code that drove me mad. The rest is history.
