The older I get, the harder I lean into darkness as catharsis when things around me are feeling a bit bleak. So this year, facing imminent unemployment on the personal front, plus…you know [gestures broadly], I’m revisiting one of my favorite apocalypses.

So apparently I’m showing some art at a local fall fest a couple towns over tomorrow. I got the confirmation at 5:33 today. The day before the event. This is the second time this has happened with this art organization this year. Fun times.

I spent an entire day lounging and reading The Kaiju Preservation Society by @scalzi.com and it was the best Lazy Sunday I’ve had in a while. It’s a really fun read and just the book I needed to turn my brain off for a day.
