Donald whining about the Smithsonian showing "how bad slavery was" is equal parts white supremacy & profound ignorance. Especially when the Smithsonian is *incapable* of showing “how bad slavery was.” Visitors couldn’t handle it. All but the sociopaths would be left shaking, screaming, & vomiting.

Let’s be clear: #GhislaineMaxwell is not a victim. She’s a predator. A monster.

She groomed and abused young girls for Epstein—and likely for others. And now @realDonaldTrump's team is rewarding her?

@tarasetmayer.bsky.social calls it like it is on @msnbc.com last night.

The amazing thing about brave people speaking out is that it inspires others to do the same by creating a permission structure. Since I published this article 4 hours ago, I've heard from multiple sources confirming what's in it. www.muellershewrote.com/p/the-epstei...

“We’re the good guys,” I tell myself as a 6-year-old leukemia patient pees his pants in fear. I adjust my black mask and sunglasses in the mirror, making sure to hide my identity. “I am not evil,” I whisper.
Monstrous:

"They were crying in fear. One of the agents at one point lifted up his shirt, which displayed the gun that he was carrying....The 6-year-old boy was terrified to see the gun. He urinated on himself and wet all his clothing. No one offered him a change of clothing for many hours."

RFK Jr. wants to see everyone in the US using wearable fitness trackers within four years. This idea is dumb for a lot of reasons, several of which I’ve mentioned here, and another one is that the tech usually gets outdated within 2 years.

Imagine the biggest problem in your life being about which bathroom a total stranger uses.

Imagine pretending random people you'll never meet are somehow victimizing you with their existence.

Imagine being that hard up for troubles that you have to invent them just so you can play the victim.

I asked this earlier today (as a non-lawyer): at what point do judges escalate the obfuscation/stonewalling/cute games being used to flout court orders?

At what point do we order Elon Musk to appear in a courtroom?

At what point to we hold people in contempt?
JUDGE COLLEEN KOLLAR-KOTELLY: Is there an administrator of DOGE at the present time?

GOVERNMENT COUNSEL: I don’t know the answer to that
Preliminary injunction hearing at 2 p.m. today on DOGE access to Treasury records

Will Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly accept the challenge????

Will we finally learn the identity of the DOGE administrator?????

Stay tuned

Hey, Virginians! The special elections tomorrow (Tuesday, January 7) will take place despite the snow. So if you're one of the districts where elections are happening, be sure to vote. We can keep the razor-thin Democratic majorities in the state legislature and further constrain the governor.

This is the new reality of democracy. Election denialism isn’t going away nor is voter suppression. Litigation is a feature, not an exception of modern elections. If we are to be successful at winning elections and preserving democracy, that is the lesson we must learn and carry forward.
The Most Litigated Election Ever
From Marc | Despite the sharp increase in litigation, pro-voting forces continued to win, notching three times as many victories as losses.
