Took a photo this morning. This is a row of "rocket" potato. Just planted, haven't emerged yet. Behind a "dead hedge" made from branches to give a bit of protection from the northerly. Some fermented grass clipping on top.

I turned this yesterday. And added more. 60° ferment of the grass clippings. I'll have compost in a week or so.

Beef stock concentrate. Made from eight huge bones, in two large slick cookers. Booked down from eight litres to less than two.

Here's a potato bed I made last weekend. Just shoveled the local sandy soil over, with some compost mixed in.
It's half shade. Potatoes seem to like that.
BTW I can't keep thjs bed for next year. The trees will be sending their roots in to steal all the water and nutrients.

this question feels really icky cos my ethnicity isn't there, and race is..... well, we have some history with this concept but not like the USA does.
