Just been for a tour around Fremantle prison. It only closed in 1991 and tbh not a great deal had changed since it was built by convicts in the 1800s. It must have been *really* grim being an inmate. Behind bars tour was excellent, just annoyed I didn't pre-book the tunnels tour.

In a lovely little French-style cafe on the parade in Albany getting caffeinated and looking at a map of Western Australia thinking about all the far flung places I could go if I had the time or the money...

The Art Gallery of WA is rather disappointing I must say. I'm not anti-all modern art but this gallery has gone to the extreme. V few historical paintings on view and none of the ones I came to see including Boyd, Sidney Nolan or Frederick McCubbin. @lonelyplanet needs updating..
