What I did not realize until I got home and actually looked it up is that these art plates were printed entirely in Black & White. There are NO colorized versions out there. Yet each one of these plates has been expertly gone over in magic marker with amazing attention to detail.
Plate 3 titled "The Troll King". It depicts the troll king atop his throne, using a supplicant elf as a footstool. His face and hands have been colored green. He is covered in brown fur and wears purple and gold. Plate 4 titled "Recognition". It depicts a male, and female elf standing atop the corpse of a slain brown bear. Her hair is golden and his is brown. They hold spears that stab into the bear. Plate 5 titled "War-Chieftess". It depicts a dark night where three elves huddle around a fire. The fire glows orange and elves wear purple brown and gold. Plate 6 titled "Festival of Flood and Flower". It depicts several elves dancing at a Spring ceremony. Others gather round to watch. Every part of the illustration has been colored with magic marker with a fine detail.

Here's something I think the bsky hivemind could help me with. I was at an estate sale a while back and found this, a copy of ElfQuest Portfolio 1 from 1980. It's a set of 6 art plates done by Wendy Pini. I didn't know anything about @elfquest.bsky.social but I knew it was cool.
