It's kind of exciting to be in someone's weird conspiracy theory, though, isn't it? I'm tempted to break out a blazer and sunglasses so I look properly ominous 😅

Thanks for the heads up. Might have to do a little surprise shipping upgrading ☺️

Oh, I love Parnassus! And not just because of the Christopher Morley connection 🤓 They're also just lovely people with great ideas!

So since I'm notoriously late to do my own holiday shopping, I can buy a two-credit bundle (basically an online gift certificate for two books) while I'm still thinking of it, and have Libro send it by email to my family member on December 24.

...Thanks for reminding me, friends 😉

Drop a link, friend! Love to see it in both senses!

I just splurged on a sale there! They make giving - individual books or credit bundles (basically gift cards) - really easy. 🎧

This is the way 🥰

I've noticed that they tend to sticker heavily, and that sometimes a public library discard gets described as "very good" (shouldn't be called better than "good").

That said... I have heard no complaints about their customer service. That's impressive.

Wow, that's awful 😞 Has that been the case for all USPS ship methods? I should be able to switch to Ground for the next couple of weeks

7. If you're having trouble with an order, DO call or email. There are many types of bookstore software. None of it does everything it should, so reach out to a human.

Example: Our website only has one postage rate 🙄 Get in touch and we'll adjust your shipping charge by hand.

Happy holidays! 📚❤️

5. If you want a gift-quality book, definitely skip books listed as "Fair", "Good", or "Acceptable". Ask for pictures if you have any doubts about something described as "Very Good". "Near Fine" and "Fine" should be close to as-new.

6. Make sure the seller's contact info works, especially phone #.

4. With online book searches, use as few keywords/criteria as you can without getting incorrect results, to catch the maximum number of buying options. For example, instead of:

AUTHOR: A. B. C. Whipple
TITLE: Yankee Whalers in the South Seas

use

AUTHOR: whipple
TITLE: yankee whalers south
