From a film-head perspective it's incredibly well made: the editing, the cinematography, the pacing, the writing, etc. Director Robert Wise was a total pro (he had won an Oscar for editing Citizen Kane). Just a gorgeous piece of cinema.

What a lovely and thoughtful gesture (and card)! The thoughtfulness and curiouity of the young keeps me going. Being an educator both drives me crazy and gives me a huge amount of hope for the future. In many, many ways they know better than us.
