Have you put it into audiobook format yet? Best of luck with its success, fellow author!

Of course, agreed on all counts. "Civilization" is also subjective, however, if it were part of the Kardashev Scale itself. What is it to be "civilized" for example. How would beings on a 3 or 4 Scale perceive us? Most likely as we would see Denisovans.

Good for you. I'm a member as well. I'd have to admit toward seeing AI cautiously as about as helpful as a muscular Google, not much else. I use it to help w/outlines & research phantasmal physics, not much beyond that. I've read too much SF not to see it with a wary side-eye.

So I'd opt for ThruZoetopicFuturism: an all encompassing vision of one potential map from the near future forward; i.e. Asimov's Foundation Trilogy "mash-up" w/Octavia Butler/Ellison. The framework could be the easy part. Deciding what to exclude w/symbolic characters readers can invest in, tougher

We are: Harry Seldon.
Now, if you compute the Scale w/overview of Dr. Asimov's saga & see us as Seldon, what is our responsibility to mankind as authors?

The Kardashev Scale - Type I, II, III, IV & V Civilization
Type 1 civilization designation on the Kardashev scale may be possible in the next 100 years, which could influence the survival of mankind.

Haven't heard of "thrutopias" or "Zoefuturism," but I think from a writing perspective, it sounds like dynamic environments seen over time similarly to Foundation but perhaps with differing emphasis. We're 0 on the Kardashev Scale, so how would we reach 1, 2, or 3 & map that? Who & what would fall?

His greatest strength is manic enthusiasm, or at least the appearance of such, combined with boyish looks. How many Red Bulls he downs in a day to mime that zeal, I could only speculate. But at least he's not an entropic force of evil in the world. Adaptation is smart business.

Utopias are just as important as (to me, easier to envision) dystopias: they are the lantern at the end of the dirt road. I'd love to write a truly mapped out utopic trilogy that could somehow have the razor's edge of dystopic fiction w/the hope of the utopic.

Always wanted to open a bookstore / pizzeria / blues joint / comics shop and drop it in the middle of Times Square or Toronto (probably the only two viable markets on Earth). Alas, somebody's have to bankroll the model until it could (?) soar. Ho-hum. Back to outlining Books 2 and 3 of my trilogy.

Hard to see how England (like US) would not be ravaged by climate change, resulting in inevitable mass human migrations (hence US interests for Greenland, Canada). Societal impacts alone would easily make a robust trilogy for any sociologist/SF author willing to take the plunge (pun intended).

Fascinating concepts that are eminently encouraging in a more utopic extrapolation. Not sure I'd want AI government based on what I've seen of AI thus far, or for that matter, even for what it would eliminate (human fallibility, human emotional/intellectual evolutionary opportunities).

It's perfectly feasible if the will is there to propel it.
