Watched the first two episodes of the new season of Handmaids Tale. It's really starting to feel like a slog. It's like the writers are just moving characters around to create the situations they want without taking the time to logically develop these things.

I’ve only just been incepted with this fever dream and it’s almost real to me too.
For about ten years I've thought about what a Tom Waits TV Christmas special produced in the early 80s would have been like. It's almost real to me. The set is a Depression-era shack he built and a stream of celebrity hobos keep knocking on the door and Tom goes "I wOnDEr WHo tHaT cOuLd bE"

Gladiator 2: Excess and indulgence galore... but still fun if you're willing to go along with the ride. It really feels like there was a pretty great movie in there somewhere, and Denzel gives a fantastic performance, but the movie literally jumps the shark(s) about halfway through.
