tbh there’s a chance the SCC actually agrees and we have to become marginally more based in our laws (like when they said making prostitution illegal was a breach of the s.7 rights of the sex workers by making it unsafe) - dumb it has to go through courts instead of just being good policy but alas

was it a fundraising email? absolutely, but Avi was fundraising for trans causes and queer orgs across canada. not for himself or his leadership campaign

@heathermcpherson.bsky.social was eager to send me an email asking for me to give her money and go door-knocking, with an endorsement from an Ottawa MPP (i live in BC)

she was sure to point out that it isn't about slogans, but about showing up. good job showing up on TDOR!

anyways, last thursday was TDOR, and also the NDP is doing a leadership race, so of course i kept my eyes open on my inbox to see and help decide who might get my vote

i received exactly two - one from @heathermcpherson.bsky.social and one from @avilewis.ca
