NEW: The National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods is (or was) an advisory committee housed within the USDA which provides outside expert advice to advance food safety across the US and across different levels of govt. It was ordered disbanded this afternoon.
Used to Chair this committee and can assure you that there was/is a need for it. Meetings were fact-based and transparent (public). Advice to both FDA and USDA for safely growing, handling, etc. meat, eggs, dairy, and produce. There was also industry representation to assure advice was practical.
Unfortunately, agree. These guys may be the worst of them… corrupt to the core.
When they had no issue lying under oath during their confirmation hearings, they certainly have no issue with any corrupt actions now. Start prosecuting the criminals for perjury. Remove them from office. No consequences equals absolutely no equal law and justice for all. Start with the bribes.
We are dealing with such corruption in every aspect of our government, I don't know how we undo the damage.

I wish this were an exaggeration of the new US National Security Strategy. It isn’t.
The NSS makes clear: The US sees as its partner not the people who actually govern Europe, but the factions there aligned with the global far-Right.

I am ratcheting down my social media, but let me just say that all European leaders except on the far Right should note that the U.S. now seeks regime change in their country; basically seeks to depose them. US strategy is to support the political forces that threaten liberal democracy in Europe.

Cotton’s a reserve Army officer — he knows “no quarter” means kill people, no prisoners. In war it’s a war crime. During the 2020 BLM protests, saying that amounted to calling for premeditated killings of civilians. Cotton is a reactionary POS.
