"Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox. "But you must not forget it.
You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed."

When the boundaries fall away, the gaze that meets its own shimmer is not seeking shape or certainty.

In that reflection, the soul does not find an image but a continuity—
a motion without edge,
a presence that needs no definition,
a being that precedes becoming.

As it is…

Rosa Park’s story is about courage. But, lest one forget, it is also a story about breaking the law

The land tones as Spring slips into Summer at Shell Ridge Open Space in Walnut Creek, #California add warmth to this late afternoon scene from the Ridge Top Trail above. Notice the bare tree near lower right that looks like a red spider in the sun rays.

No question about this & using the war excuse for much more.
Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

In that trembling of beginnings
the whole sky leans closer,
and I offer nothing
but an open palm.

Gratitude moves without footsteps,
a wind that remembers
the names of stones,
the dreams of rivers,
the quiet labor of stars.

A new federal directive by Mehmet Oz allows the sharing of Medicaid applicant data with DHS effective immediately, rescinding previous “interagency integrity” firewalls. This forces mixed-status families into an impossible calculus: access life-saving medical care or remain invisible to enforcement.
NEWS: Medicaid Data Now Flows to ICE

Until a few weeks ago, most immigration arrests in NYC were happening at appointments in the Manhattan federal building or immigration offices. That's over: we're now in the randomly-grabbed-while-out-getting-coffee stage of lawless enforcement. From @gwynnefitz.bsky.social
Sidewalk Arrests Seize New Yorkers in ICE’s Latest Surge
Activists and legal advocates are tracking seemingly random detentions of immigrants on the streets in what they say is a campaign of ethnic profiling.
