It had been an uneventful day. Opri and Vincent were heading back from the bath house through Dock Town. Opri was a little distracted as they walked beside the human, falling behind every now and then when they got too lost in thought. Nothing new there, really. Vincent was used to the elf daydreaming. Today Opri was slower than usual however. “What are you thinking about so hard that your legs stop working, hm?” Vincent asked, teasing the other as they waited for them. Opri turned their head to them with a bit of a delay, then pointing at the scaffoldings on a ledge nearby. They walked over and peered down. People were going about their business below them. “Was wondering if this height would be enough to kill or if one would need to fall from a greater height.” Vincent frowned. Why in the Fade was the elf thinking about that? They walked up to them, placing a firm hand on their shoulder without saying anything. The hand covered Opri’s shoulder in its entirety. Only now realising how their wondering might have sounded, Opri snorted a laugh, “I’m not planning to jump, Vince, geez.” Vincent’s grip on them loosened a little but they still kept their hand on the elf. There was some commotion from below and both of them looked down. People were yelling at someone up where they were standing. Looking around it turned out to be a man, pissing down the ledge. Probably drunk. Hopefully. Who would do that sober?! Opri wrinkled their nose at the sight while Vincent just groaned, annoyed by people’s idiocy. Opri glanced around and then grinned almost gleefully, turning their gray eyes up to Vincent as they did so. The human arched a brow. Then Opri summoned a spectral hand just behind the man who was now shaking the last drops over the ledge. With a small flick of their wrist, the hand pushed. Spectral matter met the man’s back and he started tipping, catching on to what was happening much too late. He flapped his arms as if doing so would turn them into wings and Opri snickered at the sight. Another little push had the man falling off the scaffolding. People under them scattered with screams as they broke the spell, watching the man plummet down. There was a satisfying crack when his head hit the ground. He lay there motionless as people slowly approached him, Opri and Vincent watching the scene from above. “What do you know, guess it is enough.”

As words like ‘whore’ and ‘bitch’ spilled from his mouth while he was plunging his ridged cock into them, Opri had enough. They had warned him. They extended their hand towards him not to touch him but to summon their magic. It sparked green in their hand. He barely had time to register what was happening before an invisible hand clawed at this throat, taking a tight grip. His hard length was still inside them when they closed their fist, the spectral hand sinking its claws into his neck. Blood ran from the wounds as he tried to scramble away. Then, Opri pulled back their hand, fist still closed. The man’s throat ripped open with a fleshy sound and gurgling and blood rained on the elf still prone on the bed. They didn’t care. His whole body spasmed, his cock still buried in Opri’s slick cunt. The elf felt a shiver of pleasure and revelled in it for a moment, clenching around the shaft. It was pouring down and the streets of Minrathous were slippery with mud. A pair of bare feet hurried through the narrow alleys. They had managed to steal it! The book they had been eyeing for weeks! Their heart was racing from both running and the excitement. Opri halted at a crossroads, head swivelling to find the safest way to freedom. People didn’t really pay any attention to the scrawny elf kid, there were plenty of those in the streets. The book felt heavy as they clutched it against their chest. They shot off again, towards a narrow alley, when they heard running footsteps from behind them. It was a mistake to look back, as when they did so, they stumbled and landed on their stomach on the muddy wet ground. They didn’t make it up before a hand was pulling on their long hair, lifting them painfully up by it. Opri tried to kick at the man holding them but it was futile as he was large and tall for a human. “Now, caught you, little rat,” the man jeered, “think you can steal from me, huh?” He yanked the book out of Opri’s hands and then, much to their horror, he threw it in a puddle. They froze. The man laughed, “I’m going to teach you a lesson you little shit. Show what happens when you try to steal from your betters.” He shook Opri by their hair, moving closer to the alley wall where he pinned the small elf to it. “Get fucked you pig!” Opri shouted, struggling against the man’s bulk. It was useless, his hand was bigger than their head. “You’re a feisty one. Maybe if you do good I’ll take you as my slave. It’s always fun to play with the ones that have a little bite.” He said, leaning down so that his disgusting breath was in Opri’s face, “could help my missus during the day and me by night, how’s that sound? Be my little elven bitch.” They went pale. They could take a beating or a lashing but not that, anything but that. Bile rose to their throat at the thought, “touch me and I’ll cut your dick off..!” Opri threatened but their voice trembled. Embarrassing. It also earned them a hard slap to the side of the head. Then they were turned around, face firmly pressed against stone as a hand fumbled with their clothes. No, no, no— Opri squeezed their eyes shut. There was a flash of light they could see from behind their eyelids. It was green. The air filled with the smell of static. Their skin prickled as they peeked behind them. The man wasn't there. Well, he was, but he was on the ground, alive but not doing too well. He was cursing and spitting blood. Had Opri done that? They looked at their hands. They didn’t know why they had expected them to look different somehow but they were still the same hands that had become so good at pickpocketing. They looked down to the man on the ground. Whether it had been them or not, didn’t matter right now as the man was coming towards them. On all fours, but still. Opri reached for anything they could use to defend themself, their hand happening on a shard of glass big enough to wield as a blade. It cut into their own hand as they squeezed their eyes shut once again, held it up and slashed. Warm blood hit their face and there was a gurgling yell. When they opened their eyes the man was all but dead, his throat cut open. Opri breathed hard, heart hammering in their chest. That they had definitely done. For the first time in their life they felt powerful. It was dizzying. They knew they should run, leave, but they couldn’t turn their eyes away from the man dying before them. They watched his eyes turn from angry, to panicked, to dull, listening to his garbled threats and pleas. Only when he had been silent for a while did the elf snap out of their daze. They stepped past the body and ran to the book soaking in a puddle and picked it up, shook it off, cradled it against their heaving chest and ran. They were 11.
