I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

I am periodically asked to confirm my mother's Goals of Care with the nursing team at her assisted living home. It always feels a bit weird to remember that I literally have the power of life or death over her. It can be a difficult conversation to have with a parent, but I encourage you to do it.
