How do we know Rahmanullah Lakanwal ever stopped being a killer for hire?

Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer should resign their leadership positions as soon as possible.

Their failure to so much as endorse Mamdani laid bare layers of incompetence. They are why Democrats have completely failed to combat Trump. The sooner they are replaced, the better.

Given all the hints that he realizes he's not long for this world, what if the White House Grand Ballroom is actually being constructed as a Grand Mausoleum, a la the Palace of the Sun in Pyongyang? Is he mad enough to do that?

This is the game plan 💯
Trump and Miller dearly want somebody to shoot back at ICE thugs, so they'll have an excuse to go full fascist. The Chicago incident had too many inconsistencies, but they're still hoping to get an ICE agent or National Guard member shot so they can start beating down doors.

The remarks weren’t “about Charlie Kirk,” they were about how this administration is using Kirk’s death as an excuse to shut down critics … and they responded by proving him completely correct.

It's just a little creepy how many normally professional reporters and government officials refer to him as "Charlie."

This is the most lib take I've ever had, but there's no real downside if, with a lot of money and free time next year, native South Carolinian Stephen Colbert ran against Lindsey Graham.

Noticing a LOT of guys driving big ol' trucks waving and supporting the #nokings protest over the beltway in Silver Spring. This isn't a niche movement. ✊

SORRY. Sorry.

I just got confirmation that National History Day, a program that does more to ignite K-12 students' love of history, learning, and yes, even the United States than anything else I've ever seen, had all its funding cut yesterday by the DOGE-axe at the NEH - including for this year's ongoing contest.

Not one Republican will speak out and say these tariffs are a terrible idea. May they all lose their seats in a couple years when we're in the throes of an entirely unnecessary depression.

I interned at the Voice of America in 1988 and saw first hand how trusted radio news could break through the Iron Curtain.

Apparently with the effective shutdown of VoA, countering tyranny is no longer what our country stands for.

This only pleases people like Putin and Lukashenko.

People are willing to give most older Teslas a break. But there's a real collective disdain for the CT and the wankers who own one.
They started throwing stuff at this one.

The measles outbreak in Texas is reminding me of the public letter Roald Dahl wrote about losing his daughter to measles in 1962, just before the vaccine was publicly available.

Trump plays the same game every time. Take a perfectly normal situation -- say, Canadian-American trade -- totally fuck it up, return it to normalcy... And then take claim for "fixing" it.

Sure it's hilarious that Trump 'forgot' to place his tiny hand on the bible at his swearing-in. But in four years, he'll claim he wasn't officially sworn in... And will run again.
