Yes, I attended Brainhacks this year for the first time and got to learn about a lot of the research around it along with the different product lines. Apparently there’s a whole bunch of weird stuff people are attaching, wearing, installing etc… to get a better read on their brainwaves.

I mean consumer BCI headsets are already in the market so by itself BCI isn’t so bad. But as progress accelerates due to AGI the skills we gain through BCI could become much more worrisome then people losing their jobs.

It’s already started this year with gaming, 2-3 years sports.

Kind of how I relate attention to perception when meditating. If noticing one thing, it inherently means I’ve lost focus on another. Overtime those patterns of attention emerge as perception. And those distributions of attention all have blind spots that limit our perception and access to reality.
