The kind of nerd that teaches themselves computational geometry for fun. Into ttrpgs, gaming, sci-fi and fantasy, crafty stuff, and so, so many ADHD "enhanced" hobbies. He/him, they/them is fine too.
"ok he's biting down a bit. Not too hard, though, I can manage. Hooie, his breath stinks. Biting harder now, I'm gonna just... *Pop* ok got my head out but he's got my hand now. He's got my thumb. Crikey, he's bit my thumb clean off! No matter, we'll get it back and glue it back on later."

We used to play "just to see what happens", where we'd adopt an impression of Steve Irwin, look at the "camera" and say something like "awright, now, I'm gonna [ridiculous thing], just to see what happens!" and role play the scene.

"I'm gonna stick my head in this lion's mouth" was a popular one.

Ok, thinking about the love triangle you're probably thinking of, i personally think it would be fun/funny if I'm the "fix it" side of the fic coincidences turn that situation from a conclusive ship to an accidental polycule or messy situationship.

I don't think it would be triangle at all, I think from his perspective the issue is that Cosette was his daughter for years but Fontaine he barely knew.

So saving her puts her as a "obstacle" in redeveloping their relationship.

It works story wise, just a bit difficult.
(Haven't read the book)

Ooh that works if Javert is maybe a squad captain instead of a big shot, so JVJ is aware of the real big shots

It would honestly be great without the reincarnation aspect for just a movie worth of content

But the end of the movie is just the starting point of a wild alternate history take really

I think he definitely hides it in the redo, so he can build strength and networks quietly.

So having it be a thing "above" the mortal world that the mortal world is aware of makes most sense to me. (I'm the sense that people are aware of dragons, in a world where dragons are rare)

It's kinda tropey, but you could play it where basically the mortals are the exceptions for the story in terms of characters that "matter"

But I'd probably have it be in the middle ground somewhere.

For JVJ, I think it'd have to be something he learned of post prison in the first timeline.

The friends/allies he made in prison definitely join the rebellion after the victory at the barricade.
November 27, 2025 at 3:12 AM
Yeah that's a good setup for the initial strength building phase.

Not sure how to handle the Jean/Fontaine/Cosette arc.

Saving Fontaine is the obvious reincarnation path, but it also makes the reincarnated perspective relationship with her and Cosette a bit awkward to deal with.

There's so much to dig into.

Where would you put the reincarnation point? I'm thinking while he's still in prison, but with like a month left in the sentence or something.

If I remember correctly a version of this can be done with poisson disk sampling? I think Sebastian Lague did something in it with one of his series to get uniform points on a sphere (an additional application).

My current thrust is to build a ttrpg IDE that is tied integrated with an ide, but pretty much everything related to exploring more tabletop digital integration is extremely my shit.
(Excepting AI stuff, for the obvious reasons)

He puts on his robe and wizard hat and all the ladies love him and everyone laughs at his jokes, too.

It's not a frequent delusion I entertain, but it is a pleasant one.

Mint is the one I've been looking at recently also, so this is encouraging.

He responded with an ai report that summarized what I'd researched to get to the *starting point* of my question and didn't answer my question at all.

Would've wasted less energy and both of our times if he'd just said no.
