Welcome new followers!

Some of you don't necessarily know the whole story of *why* I care so much about the rise of the far right, about countering terrorism, and about building peaceful and thriving societies.

This video is a pretty good intro.

The DC shooting story is really getting to me because we literally trained this man as a child soldier for a death squad in a forever war and Stephen Miller et al want to blame it on other cultures? It's our culture, American culture, that killed that woman.

While the nordics tried to wipe out our Indigenous population in various ways over the centuries, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving. Yet I've gotten about 200 messages from stores I shopped at about 8 years ago about their great Black Friday sale today... not to mention the Black Week/Month stores.

As I venture out into the world again to do yet another conference-talk about of the horrors of this world and what we at Revontulet do to protect people, infrastructure, and companies against it I once again start to identify with Beorn from the Hobbit - soon I'll chill in the woods and eat honey.

BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

Lots of good advice and resources in this thread for parents and teachers.

It's not reasonable or practical to ban kids from the internet until adulthood, but keeping an open dialogue can go a long way in mitigating harms and teaching skills that will be beneficial for a lifetime.
Steps parents can take now:

1) Check whether your child is using a school-issued computer or device for online gaming or chats.

2) Talk with your child about how they use the device: games, apps, chat features, who they’re talking to, how long they’re online.
