What I find funniest about Great Brits is that they have always moaned & groaned about our great country. It's doom, it's gloom. Talk it down! Hate!
Yet, it's clearly an effin excellent bloody country still, filled with bloody lovely tea-drinking people who like irony

It's Friday night. There's not many of them left in 2025. & because of Christmastime, there's not much in December. Pay day weekend too. Come on. Get on your best duds & shake a tailfeather. Socialise. Meet people see what happens. Take the chance

Someone needs to start a petition to stop Fleetwood Mac's The Chain from being played in every supermarket all the effin time every effin where

A reminder that the UK voted by a landslide for a govt with socialist ideology (the one that thinks govt can & should enforce change on people for the greater good). Why are so many surprised that their policies are not capitalist or conservative? FFS

Even abroad, they still miss & love the old Queen

What's it to you if some low-income family in a low-income neighbourhood gets a few quid more welfare? What's it to you if some celebrity gets a facelift? What's it to you if a man marries a child in Pakistan? What's it to you if the President of America wears make-up?

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas right after White Friday deals

I'm fed up hearing the misuse of the term "Black Hole". If the UK economy has a fiscal shortfall or imbalance, say so. If you want to say there's a hole. Fine. But please stop saying black hole. You clearly don't know what a black hole is.

I suppose we'll need to start thinking about Christmas Trees this weekend! Suddenly Christmastime is upon us! Totally out of the blue!

There's a Black Hole in my Black Friday budget 😭

I wish folk would stop spreading the nonsense that govt spending depends on taxes. It's irritating. You personally do not pay for someone's child's breakfast. Now go about your day. Be happy.

As far as I can tell, the world has always taken the Mickey out of the US President. A lot of people think it's just DJ Trump.

Why do so many not know that the UK Leader of the Opposition is supposed to be an adversary, supposed to rip apart every govt utterance—even if she agrees with it or if her party did the same or worse. It's not hypocrisy. It's debate, they take opposite sides—she rebutts

In history, human creativity was mainly about music, art & architecture. Today it's science & medicine & hidden in computer code & "the cloud".
I hope we can one day force a rebalance such that we get beautiful things once more. I'd like that

Now the bloomin' Budget's over we can start Christmassing properly

One thing that always puzzles me is when Scottish politicians quote Scottish economic figures against UK economic figures when Scottish economic figures are incorporated into the UK economic figures. They are not distinct/separate unless you deducted the Scottish from the UK FFS

I often wonder if Americans see Great British Political social media posts the same way we see American Political ones (no idea who anyone is, what is going on, what anything might mean)...

Contrary to popular belief, it is not thanks to electric vehicles, but by the development of high-speed trains that the Chinese have managed to limit their oil consumption, notes in his column to the "World" Jean-Baptiste Fressoz. www.lemonde.fr/idees/articl...
« En Chine, les économies de CO₂ obtenues grâce au TGV sont sans commune mesure avec celles de la voiture électrique »

The state of Great British politics. Starmer is unpopular. Reeves too. The Greens have totally blown it. Reform UK are in decline. Advance too little too late. SNP won't flush (they're there forever now). Plaid are utterly lost. It's too soon to revive the Tories. Oh well!

It's crazy to be at this point, but Badenoch is the better politician. Great voice. Good projection. Clear ideas. Good rhetorical strategies. I wouldn't argue with her!

I'm waiting for the Junior Doctors to realise their strike winning pay increase and new job name simply means they now take home less because of the budget
November 26, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Look. The Great British Budget has been delivered, & like every other budget before it, been decried as bloody awful. This is what happens—but I can assure you that life goes on, Great Brits see this as a challenge & rise to the challenge to find & exploit every possible loophole
November 26, 2025 at 11:10 PM
TV ads/ commercials have always been annoying. Why the fuss over race now? It's just "extra annoyance", or maybe you have become "extra annoyed"? 🤔
November 26, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Thank goodness that is all over now! That effin Budget build-up was insufferable & interminable. Then it was leaked, then it was a damp squib delivery. Now we can press on as best we can to mitigate all this rubbish & make a better life for ourselves in spite of it all
