I teach HS students new to America in a immigrant newcomers program. Nothing says "Welcome to America" like having them draw hand turkeys in history class the day before T-Day break. They may be 14-17 years old, but they loved it. #TeacherSky

One sign of a bubble is when the major players do gimmicks to hide the cost of the bubble.

If the thing was clearly a good value, they'd just say "look at us investing in this valuable thing," rather than this obvious shell game to avoid booking the cost of building a data center.
Meta’s data-center accounting gets the Jon Weil treatment:

It’s “financed with debt, and neither the data center nor the debt will be on its own balance sheet. That outcome looks too good to be true, and it probably is.”

WELKER: What is your message to Jewish New Yorkers who feel you won't be tough enough in your response to antisemitism?

So Bezos is in them too then?
The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have “no public interest” before even seeing them. That’s a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone ‘no’ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

I would like this trade a lot better, or at least understand it a lot more, if Reid Detmers were coming back. Even if it took a mid-level prospect throw-in. It's hard to find scenarios where this makes a ton of sense as a 1:1, but there were options to build around it to mitigate risk.

One of the strangest aspects of aging that they don't warn you about is watching as history gets rewritten right in front of your face and people 20 years younger than you confidently tell you about something you lived through and get it completely wrong.

If Pat Ricard doesn't make that block, this play is dead at LOS. I know Lamar of the MVP and heart of this team, but Pat Ricard is the Unsung Hero on offense.
This play was apparently called "HURRICANE" in the huddle. The formation looks like "Tush Push", but two eligible players kick out left, pulling defenders with them. Patrick Ricard, the fullback, kicks right and blows out the one perimeter blocker. Andrews boots right and runs for daylight.

Stephen Miller is the problem.

Why any news organization cares about his opinions at all, let alone air or print them, is beyond me.
The fact that Summers remained so popular after questioning the intellectual abilities of women is really a pretty harsh indictment of US society as a whole and particularly the elite circles Summers travels in, and Democrats should have kicked him to the curb for that shit.

And you're making an ass of YOURSELF if you mock him for that.

At least Maryland's Senators are doing the morally right thing
I’ve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.

I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.
