People don’t pay asking price, they pay monthly payment they can afford. A 50 year mortgage will further increase sales price as monthly payment decreases.

The one created by pushing up interest rates leaving the S&Ls with a bunch of low yield mortgages? Then to compensate the industry, allowed S&Ls to lend on commercial real estate although their cost of funds was 100 bps greater? Followed by no bailoutallowing the commercial banks to buy for .01s per
