it goes back to the UK's Victorian "ugly" laws. Even Canada didn't remove them from the books. The Carribean nations that left the Commonwealth partly did so over this because us Black folks were never truly welcome. UK's been trying to deport the Windrush generation WHO REBUILT THE UK POST WWII‽

It's being reported that New Zealand has banned puberty blockers for transgender youth. I removed New Zealand from my recommendations to families fleeing a while back after the far right saw a surge in power in the country.

Sad day for NZ trans youth.

WE WON. I am *begging* you to take note of who did this. *Not* UCLA admin—they’re still scuttling around behind closed doors, attempting to appease—but FACULTY AND STAFF, led by AAUP.
BREAKING: In AAUP et al v. Trump (wall-to-wall union lawsuit challenging the administration’s unlawful use of TItle VI to reshape the University of California system), the faculty and staff of the UC system WON!!!

We were granted our preliminary injunction! @aaup.org

He’s repeating their mistakes: denying the problem, promising magic fixes, and pushing policies that make life more expensive.

New: The FBI is quietly urging ICE agents to properly ID themselves in the field.

In a bulletin to law enforcement last month, it warned of criminals posing as ICE to rob, rape, kidnap—a problem it says now demands national coordination to confront.
