I've had a vague idea of working through the celebrity named sandwiches on the old Reuben's menu from the 60s, but I've never figured out an order to be efficient in gathering the ingredients, with tongue being a mainstay.

So this is a variant of Spencerian script, the standard cursive form taught in the US in the 1800s. It was designed to be (1) written quickly and (2) legible. At that time, receipts, menus, bills of lading, etc., would all be handwritten, so having a standardized script was useful. (1/6)
