This model of the Sovereign Lightship is on display in our Sargent Gallery. It was deployed there from 1875, the first of its kind to use a flashing light. It was in use until 1971 when it was replaced by the Royal Sovereign Lighthouse. (Known locally as the Sovereign Light.) #Bexhill

You can’t go wrong with stocking fillers this much of a bargain. Frightening finger monsters 19p, pretty wooden bracelets £1.20 and sticky creatures 29p! We have lots of other stocking fillers, toys, books for children and adults and other gifts so why not check out our gift shop?

On Thursday 18th December we have a very special event. Christmas & All That Jazz is a musical evening where Mike Hatchard will be playing our historic piano. There will be works by Chopin & Gershwin & some festive favourites. Tickets are £10 &that includes mulled wine & light refreshments. #Bexhill
