If I had a book out I'd plug it here. But I don't. So I won't. (but I would if I did)

Took me an unnecessary amount of time to work out that 'chair elastics' aren't a thing.

We saw a room of art (Henry's attributed to Holbein), a cheeky little Rubens being outmanoeuvred by castle branded scents, Joshua Reynolds flanking a fireplace and a carol singer that appeared quite surprised at their sudden growth spurt.

We went to Belvoir Castle to do CHRISTMAS...

49. I'm having to make choices now, not long to go! This one's a bit of a whopper. A whole host of everything Bauhaus for your delight. I wonder if I should use it to write our KS3 curriculum...? #52ArtBooks25

It won't have helped that we stuck lino on the floor of the rabbit hutch so stopped using newspaper as a liner.

The previous hutch was Berliner size to fit the piles of Guardians my mum and dad donated.

It's easier now, but I miss the accidental perfectly ripped phrases and rabbit hats.

Cute Christmas fabric at a reasonable price in the form of Asda bedding 💪

Bert's new box of Nibblots arrived and they've gone festive!

Here we go - only at the start (and I know they'll be throwing different opinions at me) but looks like the OU's got your back (via Jaś Elsner) 😎 #CompendiousFirsthandVisualKnowledge

I collect quotes that I yell at them too. Ones from books or documentaries or podcasts we put on 😁

@januszczak.bsky.social @bendorgrosvenor.bsky.social I have a question about C16 strawberries. Can they be about resurrection if they're not being gorged on by lusty Bosch people? What with all the seeds, I extended the pomegranate/cucumber stuff I read. Or is there normally a naughty-fruit element?

48. The Photo Book is another one I used to love in my school library (they had the big version, I only got the small one, but still packs a punch). I've not included one of the pictures I like most coz 'adult content' but check out 'Nude Woman Wearing Meat Packers Gloves' if you can. #52ArtBooks25

This is a misunderstanding of what the two-child benefit cap was isn't it? I reckon most people think it's about child benefit.

Braved an online shop and home in time to watch Lilly on Rubens 😎

A central reason to visit, surely? Can't beat a museum or gallery animal 😊

47. This guy's pretty familiar and certainly what most people think of alongside the Accademia Gallery in Florence, it's worth the queues to see David, but there's more to the gallery than just the big guy. I particularly enjoyed a bit of saint spotting in this one. And the aircon. #52ArtBooks25

We've started having our last staff meeting of the half term as a wellbeing one. Sometimes just cancelled, but we've had a pub quiz (with pop, snacks and beer mats), bingo, glass craft (external person) and just did choice of boxing or crafting a few weeks ago.

46. A local chap by the name of Joseph Wright of Derby. Usually several of his greatest hits are lining the walls of Derby Museum and Art Gallery but they've trotted off to that there London for a bit... #52ArtBooks25

This is amazing. A dog dressed as a unicorn, with the knitter crying with joy when it came out (was it ever in?) and another dog dressed as a Chelsea Pensioner 🤩 #KnittingBakeOff

This throws up some really interesting questions.
One of those ones where I've got so many connecting thoughts that it's pub-chat stuff.

45. This week it's Anthony Gormley at the RA, 2019. There was a lot to love in this exhibition. I loved the bodies, I loved the concrete, I loved the massive angular dark tunnel thing, but my favourites were the cases and cases full of Gormley's workbooks. #52ArtBooks25

This week I've used this poem with my Yr10s (most of which haven't done poetry analysis for a year +) as inspiration for their art project on 'Nature'. It's amazing how quickly they slip back into it and much more familiar place to see themes used to represent other meanings 😍 poets.org/poem/magalu
