This is true, most of the cakes in the shops have marzipan but I’m allergic so leave it out! Each to their own though.

Yeah it’s specifically a fruit cake! Currants/sultanas/cherries and that sort of thing but you make it a couple of months before to let it mature and it then it lasts for ages. Us northerners have it with cheese but it’s quite a controversial food 😂
