Many people tonight talked about how they will step up if they have to.

It sucks that they might have to.

Trump’s corruption is stealing money from us and our children. Fascism is a local issue.

There are a lot of people who don’t want us working together.

Not just the billionaires. Too many politicians want to get to rule from afar. Big-time donors & institutions want to buy influence.

That is why I am standing up, to run with a movement: bethfordemocracy.com

We can win together.

The question, “Why do you think the government can solve this problem?” is really “why do you think all of us together can solve this problem?”

I believe we can solve this problem because we are capable. Together, we have solved harder problems than this.

They sure do! But I don’t think we should have to care what billionaires want.

Which is why I am running for Congress. And why our campaign is funded by ordinary people chipping in an average of $26, instead of corporations or billionaires. secure.actblue.com/donate/bab-b...

Authoritarianism crushes innovation, regardless of economics.

Capitalism limits innovation to the rich. People don’t start companies because they can’t risk losing their healthcare or paycheck.

With socialist policies like universal healthcare we will see more innovation, not less.

These politicians are pretending to be Joseph McCarthy so they can send more of our money to their rich donors.

Like most people born after 1975, I don’t care if something is called “socialism” as long as it works.

Capitalism works when we want to distribute:
A. scarce stuff
B. only to people with money
C. where it is easy for a new business to get into the market
D. and everyone has any important information

When any part of that stops being true, cooperating can help us do better

Politics today calls for courage.

This is a moment for change, for real solutions, for an alternative to poll-tested breakfast orders. This campaign is not about me: it is about all of us who know there are things worth fighting for.
