Putting together the backstory for one of my current PCs (Annika)
after playing her for a bit. I've realized that most of my lady characters are small-town girls who leave home to find themselves. D&D by way of the Hallmark channel. No tragic backstories, but a lot of mediocre ex-boyfriends. 😀

Disposable Future is my cyberpunk game, but it occurs to me that it's also heavily influenced by 1980s "Mid-Apocalypse" movies like Escape From New York and a hundred minor imitators (Bronx Warriors, City Limits, etc.)

A more sedate Gencon for me this year. I feel I spent more time off-site than on. That's not a complaint. I had a very good time.
It was also evident how many of our friends no longer attend. I need to assess some things for 2026.
I still managed to purchase more books than was strictly wise!
