Probably but we know that Salah fell out with him too so he won't help with any of that.

will be nice to get away from the pressures of the Premier League.......oh who am I kidding.

yes, a case of the player finally cottoning on that the club he is the main man of, is busy measuring other peoples heads for crown size.
December 7, 2025 at 12:01 AM
Very true. However, in this case, it looks like the player's cottoned on that the club is busily making succession plans around him while he's thinking he's still going to be the main man. I'll be honest, it's awkward.
Enjoy while you can!

I agree there's something to that and my overall point is that Mo has not made any of that better. He's made it much worse. Completely needless. Not helpful to his teammates. Won't impress the club. Makes the fans feel bad. Completely self-serving. Has a history of it now too, pre-Slot as well.
December 6, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Would have liked to see that for sure. keep hearing how Joe has a knock and can't be trusted to play games in a row or when he is available is needed at RB. Not easy for Slot but I'd like to have seen him give it a go, even if it meant having a midfielder at RB again. What a mess.

I'd have brought Chiesa on for Gakpo early on, kept Wirtz and Ekitike on and left it at that. Honestly didn't consider bringing Salah on at any point.
December 6, 2025 at 11:18 PM
Would love to but have far fewer options to cover those positions. Not Mo's fault but all part of it being a team game & he needs to only focus on his bit. No one is a winner here and no one is coming out painted brighter than anyone else. None of us needed a commentary from any player though. Shit.
December 6, 2025 at 11:02 PM
we were winning until the last kick so at what point would an out of sorts Salah have been needed? based on the fact that he came on for the 2nd half v Sunderland and didn't seem to make us better (or worse). It's very poor from Mo to talk like he has. Unhelpful and extremely selfish.
December 6, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Were you feeling that before Mo's outpouring or since? Last I heard he was given the massive contract he lobbied for last season & was picked to start every game this season til results were so bad that everyone thought it might be worth resting him to focus on trying something else while he's away.
December 6, 2025 at 10:53 PM
we were winning the game until the last kick of the ball so not really. didn't look like we needed him. and with him off to AFCON next week and us needing Isak to take over in Mo's absence, it made more sense to prioritise giving Isak the game time, I think.
December 6, 2025 at 10:50 PM
Unless we buy Trent back, yes.
December 6, 2025 at 10:33 PM
Agree. But he was never carrying the team. The whole side was deliberately set up to give him the most chance of scoring. It worked well because the team made it work. This season is all about needing to change that style, especially because the team has found itself trying to carry Mo too often.
December 6, 2025 at 10:21 PM
Not sure why he doesn't know why he's on the bench. Everyone else seems to know.
We didn't need him v West Ham.
He was given the 2nd half vs Sunderland & contributed little.
We were winning until the last kick of the game today & bringing on Isak makes more sense than Mo who's off to AFCON next week

Hard agree. Sad but true.
December 6, 2025 at 9:46 PM
As a player? As a manager he didn't like the press, a bit like Klopp. Still don't remember him kicking the legs out from under his team mates in public in the kind of purely selfish way Mo has. It's really poor.
December 6, 2025 at 9:45 PM
It's really up to Mo how it ends. I want my club legends to act like legends at all times. Kenny would never. Stevie would never.
Can't imagine how devastating his teammates must feel hearing him go off in public like that.
December 6, 2025 at 9:40 PM
That's exactly why him mouthing off about himself doesn't help anyone. Very poor for a teammate to say stuff like this, especially when he's having a woeful season. He should save his anger for the pitch. Roy Keane was kicked out of United for similar.
