finally had a breakfast visitor to try out the milti-cam setup

Also me: fuck yeah, let's automate this! Get some raspis hooked up, write some software for remote capture and download, design and 3dprint custom gearheads, multi-camera shoot, build a back end for hosting....

While I was there I made a little web host tool that runs on the pi that allows me to see the cam on my local network so I can take photos of birds while having brekky.

I am back on my bullshit again this weekend. I have setup a bird cam with my now very old D70. Unlike new cameras it doesn't have any fancy wifi or bluetooth, so I had to bodge a raspi onto it, and write some software around the gphoto2 utilities so I could get it to do remote capture.

Probably my most ambitious and most redonkulous project to date. I always wanted a geared head.
The gearshafts are aluminum rod, and there are a few small nuts and bolts in the wheels, but all the internal gearing is #3dprinted, and the bearings are all plastic, etc.
