Good early snowy Sunday from me, the beagle and the geese 😊 Not overly cold.. no wind, so a pleasant morning walksies 🐾 Yesterday, I watched 100’s of geese come in for a landing. Wonder if they’ll head south or hang about? Coffee! ☕️☕️☕️

This chap is a local sensation in ON & MI. He built and launched his boat just down the road in Harrow, ON and was off on his great adventure, till gales halted him. Wish him all the best! 🤞🏼😊
Doug Julian - • Follow 3d • & Just got back from photographing that wild homemade boat that pulled up on the beach in Port Austin — and wow, the story behind it is even crazier than it looks. The guy who built it, Steve Mylrea, has been attempting to sail this hand-built floating house — made with 55- gallon barrels, wood framing, and multiple outboard motors — all the way around the Great Lakes. He's been traveling with his dog, stopping in towns along the route as he works his way toward Chicago. But when he hit Lake Huron, the weather turned rough. Strong winds and 3-foot waves were more than the boat could safely handle, and after an overnight stretch from Port Sanilac, he pulled into Port Austin. Local officials stepped in over safety concerns and ended up pulling the boat onto the beach at Bird Creek Park, where it's now sitting high and dry. For now, his journey is paused for the winter. It's one of the strangest, most fascinating things I've photographed in a long time. Can Dogs Eat Store-Bought Mushrooms? Wild mushrooms can be toxic to humans and dogs, but what about store-bought mushrooms such as portobello mushrooms? Mushrooms sold in large and chain grocery stores may be generally safe for dogs to eat . However, we rarely serve up plain mushrooms. Instead, we like to smother them with sauces, oils, and seasonings, and these pose another set of problems for dogs. Oils, butter, seasoning, and ingredients like garlic and onions can be harmful to dogs. Even if the mushroom is served plain, it is generally safer to avoid feeding dishes with mushrooms to dogs. Dogs do not need mushrooms in their diet, so play it safe and give them a different reward, like a carrot stick or slice of apple, instead.
