Since we moved back 7 years ago, it’s been rare to have semi-permanent snow before Christmas.

The glaciers and permanent snow in the Rockies nearby are all but completely gone.

So, it’s overwhelming because we’ve been adjusting to lots less snow in winter for nearing a decade.

One year was particularly excessive with 3 separate 3+ foot snowfalls in 24-48 hours.

But most years, there would easily be 2 feet of semi-permanent snow (wouldn’t melt until spring) by mid-November. Rarely a green Xmas (and if it was a green one, Vancouver was due for a snowfall).

what I see the evangelical movement heralding as “good leadership” today. And of course with fascist tech bros providing most of the examples of public leadership these days, I can conclusively say they don’t understand “good leadership” by that course’s metrics either.

I am so tired of people acting entitled because most articles used to be free and that’s just not the case anymore. it’s not the fault of writers! we get paid less and less every year.
