Every word of this. I fill a trolley for the VdeP every Christmas and I include my son in the process and I am KILLED every year impressing upon him that we shouldn't have to do this, that most ppl who use that service work hard, but wages are low and rent is high and the State should do more.
🧵 As we look towards the #LateLateToyShow next week, it's time to remember that everyone - including the State - will expect us all to donate generously to the very worthy causes supported financially by the Toy Show Appeal. Let's think about this.

Chronic illness means I'm often cold especially my hands and feet and I've decided now I cannot do the winter this year. I just can't do it. I don't need blazing sunshine but I need a nice steady 16-20 degrees. This cold, wet, winter stuff is nonsense and I just cannot do it anymore. NONSENSE!

I haven't been in Arnotts in years, but has anyone checked how many giant wooden nutcrackers there are outside the FAO Schwarz department and if any of them are wearing glasses?
Gardaí have been unable to locate Enoch Burke after twice calling to his house yesterday to imprison him for contempt of court.

Has anybody tried a prayer to St Anthony?
Using bits out of the freezer and fridge for dinner. Frozen chicken breast, roasted veg and a slightly wilted rocket salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. A dollop of cranberry sauce from the bottom of a jar too. It'll be on all the Michelin restaurant menus next week!

Got my flu jab yesterday and my son got it earlier in the week. Both were free - the kiddy one is a nasal spray and free for all kids 2-17 - and I qualified for a free adult one due to chronic illness. A quick and easy way to protect yourself and others. Please consider getting it, if you can.

If you're a campaigning organisation, you'd be lucky to have Linda on board with you. Cliche, but truly she's a powerhouse. If you've a job going, give her a shout. (Dreadful news that SWAI has to close due to lack of funding, it's such a vital resource.)
Heartbroken to share this news but, due to lack of funding, my position in SWAI has finished.

Just did this survey it took ten seconds and is really important for fairness and inclusivity in schools. Our school is amazing, I do not want to send him elsewhere but I WOULD prefer if it was not Catholic. I don't want to change the school itself, just take religion out and leave it to parents.

Am wearing a Halloween dress (black dress covered in Halloween print, cobwebs and bones etc) and almost every single little girl trick or treater has said 'Ohmigod I love your dress' and just the confidence to be 6 and compliment an adult. Honestly the kids are alright. The next gen are sound.
