Under the (fluffy, black and feline) paw. Very fond of beans on toast. Intermittent quiddler and dedicated hurkle-durkler. Views are my own, reposts aren't endorsements.
Apologies for the inadvertent misgendering! I hope she was successful (but not too successful, you don't want to have to replace *all* your tree decorations...)

Yes! This is exactly how I felt and still feel. He completely squandered any chance to get rid of the Tories, he was self indulgent, irritable, controlling - and also somehow so terrible at running a party that he made the Tories look like the safe choice. I really did want him to succeed. Alas...

Bowie is beautiful! He looks like he's on a mission here.

I've never owned a car but I have a great bike - a Raleigh Pioneer Metro that I bought in 2009 from Woolsey in Acton (sadly now closed down).

Do you think he needs to be a man of steel?

Sultana does seem to be the less reasonable one here, but I find Corbyn so repellent that I can't feel sorry for him. Also, after a career of rebelling against the Labour leaders he served under, there is a bit of 'hoist with your own petard' about this!

I think that both Corbyn and Sultana are sort of the left wing versions of Truss. Equally ignorant, prone to sweeping statements, and general batshittery.

Yes, and one of the differences is that both Sanders and AOC are skilled politicians. AOC is also known for her research before congressional hearings, allowing her to properly question the witnesses.
November 29, 2025 at 3:08 PM
Yeah, nothing they can add really - Corbyn and Sultana are robbing them of work!

I don't have a picture (will try to add one) but the Voi bikes at the Foot of the Walk look terrible - like they've just been dumped there.

Looks fine to me!

Surely she must have heard of the Roman Empire?!

It's back to being effectively closed again, where the fence bulges out around their equipment... bsky.app/profile/wing...
#EdTravCyc Ferry Road path behind Leonardo down to less than 30cm in places where they've pushed the temporary fence back out without leaving enough space to pass. No way anything other than a narrow standard cycle can get past there without going on the (squelchy, muddy) grass...

Well, you reap what you sow. In his case, he's sown hatred of vulnerable people and gets misery back. Good. He's getting the life he deserves.

Ah yes, I remember the complaints. It is ridiculously bright. It also really annoys me that it's not centred on the wall (though that's less troublesome to people and wildlife). Both too bright and asymmetrical!

The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains!

I think Appleton Tower was more science and computer stuff. DHT was arts and social sciences. I remember using a non-BBC computer in the 'happy Appy' for the first time (this was in the early 1990s) and getting very confused by the 'floppy' discs being rigid, as the BBC ones were bendy!

Eek! When I was an undergraduate, I used to have tutorials on a high floor of the DHT. Not sure I'd fancy that now...

I'm sure that such a beautiful girl couldn't possibly do anything like that! 😸

This sounds absolutely revolting! I can just picture the beer curdling the ice cream. 🤮

Thanks for this. Does the new app now have an option for both metric and imperial (Fahrenheit, miles per hour) please? I could only see metric when I looked at the beta. Thanks.

But what works in Wigtown doesn't necessarily work in Leith! Because they are not the same place.
