The other immediate need in the US is the abolition of White Christian Nationalism. The emergence of White Christian Nationalism has been a slow build for decades. Trump has merely allowed it to take off its mask.

A well constructed funeral service can hold these emotions and experiences that might seem to be at odds. We need not push grief and loss out the door in order to allow hope in.

This speaks to our cultures in ability to hold disparate multitudes at once.
