I sort of just sat there, in the cinema, and by the jeep sequence thought “Picard is terrified of the future and has a death wish” and it just kept making sense of things and it wasn’t until later, listening to the dvd commentary, that I realised it’s not there at all and no one else saw it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Shinzon starts off as a surrogate son, but this son is dying, and his desire is to *also* go out in a blaze of glory, but his glory is genocide. And ultimately, Picard’s life, which he’s been trying to throw away, is ironically saved by Data, who is *immortal*, energising Picard to build a future

The film works get if you see Picard knows his future is him, alone, with no family, probably with dementia, so he’s unconsciously regressing to his reckless youth and wants to go out in a blaze of glory. I felt that almost immediately, so Shinzon became this enormous existential dark mirror

On the reverse, *I* unintentionally saw a subtext into Star Trek Nemesis that made a brilliant spiritual equivalent for Picard what TWoK was to Kirk. But Stewart has never once said he put what I saw in there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sometimes the camera can capture something that isn’t there and miss something that is.

This is literally a scene in the Simpsons where Mr Burns is scared Homer will sue him so he renames the legal waiver as the “first annual Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Excellence” and realised has to throw him an entire award ceremony

I really loved your anthology, particularly the first story with the talking cat. Delightful. And when I saw second shift in the store, I clicked it was based on the lookout story I bought it so fast. Wonderful work. ♥️

This was in such a strange design space and at the time, there wasn’t much to donate. I’m curious; how did it end up at 2U and is that still considered a good power level for this effect? Was there a time when it cost more/less?

Basically it would be like if Emilia Clarke played a Ted Lasso-esque fine art teacher who accidentally travelled back in time and completely redeemed Adolf Hitler (played by Henry Cavill) called BRUSH UP, MEIN FUHRER

okay i kinda want to watch that actually that would be amazing

Ok I avoided looking up how historically accurate this show was until I finished it and, I did finish it, it was a LOT of fun and I really enjoyed it (last two episodes were too much action imho) but looking up the historicity of it it’s adorable how a show about gourmet cooking can be so tasteless

Yeah. It just got me frustrated and I found myself spamming so I just stopped playing. Sorry. 😕 It’s a nice puzzle tho and I like how it looks too 🙂
