So apparently this sock took me about a month to make. It’s a bit roomy because I decided to unilaterally get rid of the ribbing and apparently that is the result but I’m pretty happy with it! #socktober #knitsky

Had to unravel the heel turn as I wasn’t 100% happy with it. Knittinghousesquare YouTube video has saved the day I’ve decided I will just always follow that! Very clear instructions @knitsky

I’m terrible at taking photos but my first day at the @charityammf.bsky.social conference today was fantastic. I don’t know how to express how important it is for patients advocates carers and care providers all being in the room together. I’ve written down a ton of take homes already..

Absolutely spoilt for all things UK UGI cancers this week with a wonderful prog by UKIOG on Monday meeting inc Ash Tokhi and ending with a OGOS in Oxford where I had the pleasure of seeing my former Cambridge colleague surgeon Ayesha Noorani speak. Next week will struggle to top this excitement!

Absolutely spoilt for all things UK UGI cancers this week with a wonderful prog by UKIOG on Monday meeting inc Ash Tokhi and ending with a OGOS in Oxford where I had the pleasure of seeing my former Cambridge colleague surgeon Ayesha Noorani speak. Next week will struggle to top this excitement!
Amazing day at #UKIOG annual conference today catching up with the gastro-oesophageal cancer community. Absolute highlight hearing about enhanced supportive care clinics. Working closely with palliative care colleagues is so essential.

My feed is 90% knitting now 5% artisan wool producers as 5% oncology/science. Probably best. After a super dicey morning managed to rescue the sock and I’m now on the calf bit. It’s my 1st sock I made a lot of progress today due to collapsing in a heap with post viral fatigue on my day off.
