#Cloud #storage drives me nuts. Photos on one … have to sub to the 2 TB plan because you’re just over the lower sub. Then you have that situation across multiple providers and now you’re paying for 2 TB on multiple providers for independent services. But only use something like 600gb. 😖

Welp. I’m tired of fighting zoom and screen sharing in general on NixOs. Back to a “boring” Ubuntu variant with ansible. For me nix was about packages and declarative cfg. I still have it. But my stuff is working. 🤷♂️ I don’t have time to babysit a nix config. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point.

Anyone have #zoom screen sharing “actually” working on a #wayland window manager (not KDE/Gnome/Cosmic)? Bonus if on #hyprland , and super bonus on #nixos. Uber extra points, if you know what you did to get it working. Can share the first time. Must exit & rejoin meeting if I want to start again.

Considering upgrading my #camera game for a new job. Have $800 to spend (not necessarily looking to spend it all). Will be using with #Linux (#NixOS). Or can still be a #webcam, but wanting to go higher end. Would like the depth of field look. Also have direct light behind me (windows). Suggestions?

I have to say I’ve always liked the Firefox browser, but it just never jived with me. But now I have to say the Zen browser (based on Firefox) seems to be scratching my edge. This might be the first one that can actually pull me away from a chrome based browser.
