Still been a few even there. And if they’re not closing very much struggling, even if they’re not willing to publicly say so, and while that’s not unique across hospitality, the craft beer industry is seeing a downturn in fortunes for a number of reasons.

Tbf most Belgian beer would also be craft beers by most definitions of the term. However given the number of craft beer places and breweries closing it seems like what most people want is cheaper pints or Guinness.

My faves are the Shakespeare, Little Swift, Bar Nothing, and Where Else? for drinks and music. Dalby Cafe for a classic breakfast, Palms for Pizza, Dory’s for fish, and Manning’s Seafood Stall by the Turner Contemporary for some cockles. Shout if you’ve got any questions!

Not really ‘pub’ as such but there’s The Melbourne and Preston just down in Oakwood, both good. The nearest pub-pubs to the park are all a bit ‘just ok’ - standard beers, passable meals. Melbourne has good food on, but not sure if it’s every day.
