Whilst often run with good intentions, "Be Safe, Be Seen" campaigns ignore the key road safety issue, namely increasingly poor driving behaviour.

One pair of numbers nicely illustrates where the Irish housing crisis actually originates.
* There were 1000 housing units awaiting planning permission due to judicial review in 2024.
* In 2024 there were more than 80,000 housing units with planning permission on which construction had not started.

Another one that I frequently revisit.
