Curious about astronomy, computing, and other nerdy things. Recovering flerf herder.
It was very much a #CosyCatastrophe to me. Here’s one thing I wrote at the time:

Still enjoying the #Warmth a bit later in that same evening along the Seine in #Paris

#BlueSkyArtShow

A crowd was enjoying the #Warmth of this sunny June evening on the banks of the Seine in #Paris, when…

Note: this was in 2023; swimming in the Seine was forbidden at the time.

Indeed. They’re influenced by billionaire-owned media, though.

Hey I’ve seen one of the Pascalines in Musée des Arts et Métiers just last month…

Aww this is super cute! 🥰

And it reminds me a bit of this comic strip I’ve come across, which I find cute too although in a different way - perhaps a "as perceived by socially awkward people" way…

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max too, and yes it can capture stars, but in the image above the bright "stars" form the same patterns as the lights below, just inverted. As if each "star" is the reflected image of a light, symmetrical relative to the center of the image.

Perdue dans la brume…

Believe it or not, cathedral Notre-Dame de #Paris is right here in the center of this picture, beside and just behind the brightly lit scaffolding, lost in the haze…

@conradimatic.bsky.social Hi! I’ve noticed that in Helios recent versions (up to 5.0.6) the daylight and night durations seem to be always the same, which can’t be right!

More precisely, daylight duration seems to be ok (sunset time minus sunrise time), and night duration is wrongly the same.
