More about my headcanon about him and Knaaren people in general. I consider that they are very social creatures (only with each other) and understand body language and emotions that are very important in their society. But Reflux is different and it’s really difficult for him to send and receive such signals, he has to guess others intentions and blindly try to learn how to behave in situations where others have no problem with communication. If he were human, he would definitely be neurodivergent. Therefore, other Knaaren didn’t understand him and didn’t want to hang out with him, especially in childhood. Later they tried to make friends with him, but the first experience was decisive for him.
And other thing is about little children, I think their mouths would work as baby bird beaks and signal their parents that food must be putted in here. That’s why they are yellow.

I have a headcanon that Reflux is pretty young (like all the Knaarens we met during the game), maybe he’s about 19-21 in human age. Andy is about 17-18 as human.
