We haven’t gotten a Lily update in a while! She’s enjoying her desk, but isn’t so pleased when I attempt to type. My hand is there for her to rest her paw on, not for me to use!

Last summer, I rearranged my office so there’s nothing on the desk and Lily can sprawl. Best thing I’ve ever done! Now she just lies there, purrs, and expects tummy rubs the whole time I’m working. Teaching online is way better when you’ve got a purring cat!

My apartment is still under construction and the patio is a mess, but I got the table and chairs set up for the sole purpose of her sleeping here.

Construction at my apartment is very bad this week, so Lily has come to my office with me from 7-7 (when the apartment complex said it would be ridiculously loud). She loves my office. My officemate and I even have a couch for naps, so it’s a home away from home! My students adore her of course.

My mom & I are making sense of my old playmobile stuff. We kept everything in fairly good condition with the sets loosely together (at the very least I still remember what goes with what). Apparently the house alone is worth thousands (we have two), but we’re setting up for my little nieces to play.

Lily is soaking up the last rays of 2023... The past two years, my family has spent New Year's Eve at the emergency vet with her. We're really really hoping it doesn't happen again this year!

This was so much harder to make than it might look. I was following a YouTube walkthrough except it was in Japanese, so I just had to watch closely, plus the walkthrough was for a panda, so I had to improvise to make a cat. It’s a present for my sister-in-law, who I hope can look past the flaws!

Well, it may be 2 days late, but I finally baked my lussebullar (Santa Lucia buns)! They came out of the oven just in time for fika! (I sound so Swedish, don’t I? 😄) Has anyone else baked anything fun this holiday season?

Lily is surprisingly social for a kitty with me for a mom. She’s also in love with that basket. That may have played into it lol.
