Writing anything down that you find interesting for your screenwriting isn't just about remembering it.

It helps train your mind to see the world through that lens.

Is this a story? A moment? A character?

You'll start asking this out of habit.

They are known as Witte Wieven in the northwest, white women, wise women, spoken, spirits, or Feeën, fairies, who can say?

We meet one in Gelderland in our 4th #yulefolklore tale. She keeps an eternal vigil there. With a friend.

A tale dark enough for today’s #WyrdWednesday prompt

The Ghosts of Merry Hall Review

"The Ghosts of Merry Hall is a testament to the power of place and memory, a story that passionately and hauntingly argues that the past is never really past until its ghosts have been heard."

If you see a moon's reflection in a well, it means you'll become famous.

Oh!!!
For folk magic is often a serious of fragile truces with the land, a series of appeasements made to nature’s legion of spirits. The cunning folk are diplomats to enfolding otherworlds. Few in the Foreign Office could match their skill. - Dr. M. Benn, 1981 lecture at Woden College, Weychester

This haunted doll is part of the DARK SECRETS ESOTERIC EXHIBITION in Waterloo Vaults, London until next May.

The room has cards pinned to the wall for you to record any messages you feel the doll gives you.

I did not get a message. But will you get one, and what is it?

You don't have to live in Buffalo to browse our selection. We'll happily mail anywhere in the US!

But if you can stop by, we've got an electric fireplace, some nice old chairs and the ambiance of the downtown trolley passing by on Main Street to give you a cozy corner to find some weird new magic

Four Tales of the Weird: A Foray into Henry Kuttner’s Greatest Horror Stories

Lots of terrible news out lately about ChatGPT, but it doesn't seem like anyone is investigating Gemini, esp the education space (ie Gems). If you want to crack AI edtech, that's a big one. Lots of Google ecosystem schools have mandated Gemini, and I have few critical resources on it specifically

Goodnight.
Goodnight from Tony Wrox, realising that stealing an item labelled ‘The Ghost Child’s mirror’ from the Crowhythe Museum of Curiosities was always going to be a mistake. Goodnight from Bethany Butterfield, eager for morning and its possibility of frost lace divinations. Goodnight from Hookland.

ROTTERS by @danielkraus.com Finished book no. 41 for the year and this was a perfect read to close out October and welcome November. I loved this book and it’s a hard book to love. Any book that uses the phrase “coffin liquor” would be. I should reread The Autumnal now for a perfect double feature

Right. First one done in pencil, paint, chalk and White pen. I really, really hope this is as good as I think it is but I won't know for probably a week. Will colour this and draw my next book cover now.

Word to the wise. (or those who do not wish to become wise by the thorny path)
You tell kids not to uncork anything that washes up on the banks of the Stannis, but they don't listen. They think it's going to be the fun of finding messages in the bottle. They never consider they are releasing curses or spirits. It's a hard lesson to learn. – Tony Dobbs #VOH
